First Impressions

Walking into the Sheraton Zürich Hotel, you immediately notice how the sleek lobby feels both modern and welcoming — it’s that perfect balance between corporate polish and Swiss warmth. The four-star property sits in the Escher Wyss district, which honestly surprised me with how vibrant it’s become. This used to be an industrial area, but now it’s buzzing with new developments and has this cool, up-and-coming vibe that locals are really embracing.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying in Zurich‘s Escher Wyss neighborhood — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but you’re not drowning in tourist crowds. The hotel is literally a few minutes’ walk from Zurich West, where you’ll find some of the city’s best restaurants and nightlife. You know what’s really convenient? The tram connections are excellent, and you can reach the main train station in about 10 minutes. Plus, if you’re traveling as a couple, this area has a romantic, slightly off-the-beaten-path feel that’s perfect for evening strolls along the Limmat River.

The Room Experience

My room was on the seventh floor with partial city views — nothing spectacular, but clean and comfortable with that reliable Sheraton quality you expect. The beds are genuinely good (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom was spacious with a proper shower that actually had decent water pressure. What I appreciated most was the workspace setup — if you need to catch up on emails or do some work, the desk area is well-lit and functional. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters when you’re in a city location.

Dining & Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant serves decent international cuisine, though honestly, with Zurich West’s food scene right at your doorstep, I’d recommend exploring the neighborhood instead. There’s a fitness center that’s well-equipped if you want to maintain your workout routine, and the staff can arrange bike rentals — which is actually a great way to explore the city like a local. Parking is available on-site, though it comes at a premium (this is Zurich, after all).

  The breakfast is good with excellent selections and freshly made lattes and egg dishes as well as a good selection of breads, fruits and jams, etc.. Even though i stayed for 7 nights, there was always some variety served which was nice! The club at the top floor was good and was a great place to have tea time and the food and drinks and wine are included in the price. its right in front of the Tram station that can go in 15 min. to Zurich downtown station. The room size was good and I loved the window seat taht was a great place to read and see the distant views of the alps. The room size was good for a week stay in the executive suite. The service was good! The hotel exchanged some dollars for me to get around too!

  My family and I stayed here for the Taylor Swift concert. The location was great. The train was directly in front of the hotel so it was easy to travel to places to eat and shop. We stayed at many hotels during our Switzerland trip and I would say this property had the best breakfast. There were so many options and the food was amazing.

  The best thing about the hotel was its close proximity to the tram station. Most of my day trips were from Sihlquai Bus Station and Tram # 4 was perfect to reach there. In addition to this, good restaurants and Coop Store are at walking distance.
  
  The room was spacious enough and all the amenities were well provided for.
  
  The staff at the reception desk were always there to help me with any concerns. I would like to thank Gilles and Sylvia.
  
  Breakfast Buffet spread was decent and a special thanks to Jacob for taking care of my needs and all the Chefs who made excellent omelet.
