Couples seem to really get this balance — there’s something romantic about being slightly removed from the tourist crowds but still having easy access to the old town.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully laid out — you know how Swiss design tends to maximize every square inch without feeling cramped. The bed was genuinely comfortable (and I’m pretty picky about mattresses), which explains why this three-star place gets such high marks for sleep quality. The windows are well-insulated too, so even though you’re in the city, it’s surprisingly quiet at night. The bathroom was modern and spotless, though if you’re someone who likes to spread out all your toiletries, you might need to be a bit strategic with space.

Breakfast here is one of those continental buffet setups, but they do it right — fresh bread, good coffee, and enough variety to keep you happy without overwhelming you with choices. I actually found myself looking forward to it each morning, which doesn’t always happen at hotels in this price range. The breakfast restaurant has these large windows that let in tons of natural light, and you can see why people end up becoming repeat guests. There’s something comforting about starting your day there.
