Boutique Hotel NI-MO Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Boutique Hotel NI-MO feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the heart of Zurich. This three-star gem sits on Seefeldstr in the Seefeld district — honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot. The moment you step inside, there’s this intimate, almost residential vibe that immediately sets it apart from those cookie-cutter chain hotels. You know what I mean? It’s the kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name after the first day.
The Seefeld Advantage
Here’s the thing about this location — couples absolutely rave about it, and I can see why. You’re walking distance from Lake Zurich’s eastern shore, which means morning jogs along the water or evening strolls become part of your routine rather than a planned excursion. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of local cafes and upscale shops, but it never feels touristy or overwhelming. I mean, you can grab groceries at Coop just around the corner, or treat yourself to dinner at one of the nearby bistros without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips.
Sleep Quality That Actually Matters
Let me tell you about the beds — because honestly, this is where NI-MO really shines. After years of travel, I’ve learned that comfortable beds can make or break a trip, and these ones are genuinely exceptional. The room I stayed in wasn’t huge (this is Zurich, after all), but everything felt thoughtfully designed. The linens were crisp, the pillows had that perfect balance of soft and supportive, and the blackout curtains actually worked. You wake up feeling rested rather than like you’ve been wrestling with lumpy mattresses all night.
Morning Fuel and Practical Perks
Breakfast here is more substantial than you’d expect from a boutique property this size. They’ve got the continental basics covered, but there are also solid vegetarian options and it’s set up buffet-style so you can actually customize your morning meal. The coffee is proper Swiss quality — not that watery hotel stuff you sometimes get. What really impressed me though was the private parking situation. Finding a spot in central Zurich can be a nightmare and cost a fortune, so having that sorted takes a huge weight off your shoulders, especially if you’re planning day trips around the region.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
There’s something to be said for a place that draws repeat visitors, and NI-MO definitely has that loyal following. I think it comes down to the personal touch — this isn’t a place trying to be everything to everyone. Instead, it does the fundamentals really well and creates an atmosphere where you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another booking number. The staff genuinely cares about your experience, the location gives you authentic access to Zurich life, and those beds ensure you’re actually rested for whatever adventures you have planned. It’s the kind of place that makes you consider extending your stay by a night or two.

A little pricey but an enjoyable stay nevertheless – Martyn from United Kingdom (9/10)
This property is cute. In some ways it reminds me of a hostel with private rooms rather than a hotel. The room is lovely and big. I liked the lighting set up. Massive bed! Very comfortable. Comfy pillows too. The bathroom is nice with a shaving mirror. WiFi is not very strong as it kept dropping out. Breakfast is continental but you could ask them to cook an omelette if you want. The staff are very accommodating. The location is about 27mims walk from Zurich HB or you can take the no 4 tram. The TV is good size with YouTube and Netflix available.
The kitchen/lounge is open all the time so you can grab a cake and tea or coffee etc. Overall a nice hotel.Great stsy – Robin from United States of America (9/10)
Breakfast and staff incredible . What a selection and very charming space.
Wonderful – Mel from Canada (9/10)
Very small eating area, if all guests are there at the same time there isn’t enough space to accommodate.
Great stay in a convenient location – Jessica from United States of America (9/10)
Very comfortable, clean, and great location. The breakfast was incredible.
